Heidi Healy, is a Cairns local and the youngest member of the Cairns Unity Team.
Cairns Council Candidate Heidi Healy comes from Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander heritage from her maternal family. Combined with the business and political leadership experience on her dad's side (Mick Trout) supports a diverse skill set and strong work ethic.
At the age of 19, Heidi Healy started her first business, a family daycare centre. After two years she moved on to serve in both Assistant Director and Director roles during the pandemic as well as opening La Belle Lash and beauty in 2019.
In 2021, Heidi Healy introduced Cairns Beauty Bar—a groundbreaking initiative that unites women business owners in a shared beauty space.
Despite the demands of motherhood and running two thriving businesses, Division 3 Candidate Heidi Healy remains committed to community engagement, actively empowering young entrepreneurs and volunteering at local events, such as the Great Pyramid Race, Eco festival, School and sporting canteens, while also providing free beauty services at the annual Emergency Services Ball.
Her career highlights include being named Cairns Show Rural Ambassador in 2023, Cairns Post Top 30 Entrepreneurs, Guest Speaker for Cairns Finest Young Leaders, and recognised as a finalist in several categories at the Cairns Business Excellence Awards, including Emerging Leadership Excellence Award in 2022, People Management Excellence Award in 2021, and Customer Service – Trade, Retail & Services in 2021.

The Cairns Regional Council Election will take place in 2024 and Shane Cuthbert is well placed, as a politically active member of the Cairns community to comment on the many Cairns Divisional candidates and Mayor position up for grabs.
Shane Cuthbert has attended MOST Cairns Regional Council General Meetings, Cairns Regional Council Planning and Environment Meetings and shares various networks with current and aspiring Cairns Councillors.
